Our welder certification process is a hands-on test that is conducted by AWS certified welding inspectors that will determine if candidates can produce a sound quality weld up to the code or welding procedure needed for a company, job site and industry standard.

About the course, & what
candidates can achieve:

01

Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ)

We conduct destructive (DT) and non-destructive (NDT) tests on weld coupons to determine whether the weld is of good quality using coupon bend tests, visual weld inspections, liquid dye penetrant tests and radiographic tests. Upon passing the procedure requirements, a welder is given a qualification record (WPQR) specific to the procedure weld variables.

02

Welder Procedure Specification/Performance Qualification Records (WPS/PQR)

We develop WPS documents for all candidates which describe the directions for making sound and quality production ready welds as per code requirements. This is supported by our PQR, which records the weld tests performed to ensure that the procedures produce good welds. Upon passing, candidates become certified with a qualification test documented in a Welder Qualification Test Record (WQTR) that shows they have the understanding and ability to work within the specified WPS.

03

ASME Certification (American Society of Mechanical Engineers)

Our commitment to safety and excellence is the driving force behind our willingness to serve every one of our customers to the best of our abilities. This commitment lead us to offer ASME certifications to candidates in order to ensure that you are committed to public safety and quality when it comes to your work. Candidates who obtain this certification will fufill the requirements of relevant ASME codes and standards for ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1.
