What is taught in the welder training program?

PWTT allows individuals to develop a working knowledge of welding techniques, equipment setup and operations.

Instruction is available for: Shielded Metal Arc Welding Beginner (SMAW-B), Shielded Metal Arc Welding Advanced (SMAW-A), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Beginner (GTAW-B) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Advanced (GTAW-A).

What curriculum does PWTT follow?

PWTT strictly follows Hobart Institute of Welding Technology curriculum which is proven effective since 1930. www.welding.org

What is the cost of the Weld Training program?

The cost of the Weld Training program is $1610-$2645 (per 10-week session)

When are classes held?

Classes are held Tuesday/Thursday 5:00PM-9:00PM. PWTT has scheduled holidays for: Easter, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas day, New Year's Eve and New Year's day.

What are the eligibility requirements for enrolling?

Entrance in our training program is open to almost any prospective student with a desire to learn how to weld. High School diploma or GED is not required to take this course.

What is included in the cost of tuition for the Welding training program?

Classroom training materials including workbooks, welding consumables and equipment. All shop materials are included, which are pre-cut and beveled.

What books are provided, and which books do I pay for?

All initial books for every class are provided. If you lose or destroy a book that was provided for you, you will have to pay for your next book yourself.

Are student loans available?

We do not currently offer an in-house payment plan, but are in the works on creating one.
